HPH1000-IR-00-00-00 Output Ranges 0.5A @ 12VDC
The HPH1000 series controllers are used for many of the HPH product offerings and can be ordered with different options as follows:
-IR: Support for Infrared Monitoring
-SC: Support for Speed Correction
-DL: Support for Data Logging
-WB: Support for Wheel Bearing Monitoring
*Notice the 00's in the sku are representative of these software implements.
The HPH1000 series controllers are very low profile (3" wide x 3" deep x 1.5" tall) permitting an easy installation just about anywhere. They are packaged in a water proof, submersion capable enclosure permitting direct mounting in wet environments. HPH1000 controllers have the following features:
- WiFi Hot Spot: The HPH 1000 controller features a WiFi hotspot and smart phone interface that is compatible with both Android and iOS smart phones. They also support any device with a web browser such as a laptop. The smart phone interface ensures configuration is intuitive and easy.
- Support for remote display. The HPH1000 controller comes with a RJ12 socket. All HPH displays are equipped with RJ12 plugs to allow quick connection to any HPH 1000 controller. In addition to the remote display, all data can be displayed on smart phone through the smart phone interface. The display is for viewing the infrared temperature of the drive belt, therefore, in order to use the display the HPH1000 controller must be ordered with option code -IR to support the infrared sensor option. If the customer has an HPH1000 controller without the -IR option code and later wishes to add infrared sensor support, it is possible to purchase an uprade to the existing controller (A description of this is given in our FAQ section).
- Support for infrared sensor. The HPH1000 controller comes with a 4 pin male delphi connector. All HPH infrared sonsors are equipped with a 4 pin female delphi connector to allow quick connection to any HPH 1000 controller. The HPH1000 controller must be ordered with option code -IR to support the infrared sensor option. If the customer has an HPH1000 controller without the -IR option code and later wishes to add infrared sensor support, it is possible to purchase an uprade to the existing controller (A description of this is given in our FAQ section).
- The HPH 1000 controller requires 12 VDC to operate and is powered through its 10 pin female delphi connector. Only two of the pins are required to provide power to the HPH 1000 controller. Numerous harness options are available for purchase to make power connection to the HPH 1000 controller easy.
- Support for RTD monitoring. The HPH 1000 controller comes with a 3 pin male delphi connector to allow quick connection to any HPH RTD sensor. All HPH RTD sensors come with a 3 pin female delphi connector. The HPH1000 controller must be ordered with option code -IR to support the RTD sensor option. If the customer has an HPH1000 controller without the -IR option code and later wishes to add RTD sensor support, it is possible to purchase an uprade to the existing controller (A description of this is given in our FAQ section).
- The HPH 1000 controller's 10 pin female delphi connector provides the ability to run a blower. Numerous harness options are available for purchase to make a blower connection to the HPH 1000 controller easy. The HPH1000 controller must be ordered with option code -IR to support blower control. If the customer has an HPH1000 controller without the -IR option code and later wishes to add RTD sensor support, it is possible to purchase an uprade to the existing controller (A description of this is given in our FAQ section).
- Support for dash mount combo light / rocker switch (HPH DLRS). The DLRS is for alerting the operator of an ovetemperature of the drive belt, therefore, in order to use the DLRS the HPH1000 controller must be ordered with option code -IR to support the infrared sensor option. If the customer has an HPH1000 controller without the -IR option code and later wishes to add infrared sensor support, it is possible to purchase an uprade to the existing controller (A description of this is given in our FAQ section). Numerous harness options are available for purchase to make a DLRS connection to the HPH 1000 controller easy.
- Support for speed correction. Speed correction is used to compensate for addition of aftermarket parts such as oversized wheels or tracks. For example if the owner of a Polaris Ranger puts tracks on, the speedometer will be off by as much as 40%, causing the Ranger to go into speed limitation well before it is actually at that speed, this rob's the driver of performance. Speed correction can also be used to restrict a driver from going to fast, and can be used to create a safer ride for inexperienced riders, such as youth riders. The HPH1000 speed correction works on vehicles that use a hall effect sensor for speed detection. HPH has custom harnesses to accomodate the Polaris hall effect sensors allowing for plug and play. For non-Polaris solutions some custom wiring may be required. In order to use speed correction the HPH1000 controller must be ordered with option code -SC. If the customer has an HPH1000 controller without the -SC option code and later wishes to add speed correction, it is possible to purchase an uprade to the existing controller (A description of this is given in our FAQ section).
- Support for speed override. Speed override is used to put the vehicle into limp mode when the belt is getting dangerously hot. This is the ultimate form of protection against blowing a drive belt. When the belt cools down the vehicle goes back into normal operating mode. The HPH1000 speed override is available on all HPH1000 units that have the -IR code. For Polaris vehicles HPH has a custom harnesses to accomodate speed override allowing for plug and play. For non-Polaris solutions some custom wiring may be required.
- Support for data logging. Data logging provides comprehensive log data for each trip . For HPH1000 units with the -DL code the unit will log speed (if vehicle is equipped with speed correction), CVT case RTD temperature (if vehicle is equipped with RTD), belt temperature, and wheel bearing temperatures (if vehicle is equipped with wheel bearings). The data log is stored in the HPH1000 and is extracted by use of the smart phone interface.
- Support for wheel bearing monitoring. For HPH1000 units with the -WB code the unit support wheel bearing monitoring. Wheel bearing monitoring monitors the temperature of the vehicle's wheel bearings and generates an alarm when to notify the operator that the bearings may requrie servicing. Wheel bearing monitoring requires the purchase of the HPH wheel hub bearing 'pro-pack'.
