RTD SENSOR Model Number HPHRS1-3
The HPHRS1-3 RTD sensor is commonly purchased as part of the Polaris Ranger packages, It can also be purchased separately as a replacement part if the customer's sensor is damaged or if the customer wishes to add an RTD on to a different package they have already purchased. The RTD sensor is typically mounted such that it measures the exhaust temperature of the air leaving the CVT housing. HPH has a unique feature that allows the RTD to be used as a secondary source of protection to ensure that the drive belt is not getting too hot. Though extensive data modeling, HPH has developed a relationship between the actual belt temperature and the air leaving the CVT housing, consequently HPH offers a proprietary belt protection system that uses the infrared temperature as the primary protection and the RTD temperature as the secondary protection.
